About the role:

As a VON nurse, you'll deliver holistic person-centred care to children, youth, adults, seniors, and support their families. You'll have the opportunity to work in clients' homes, in our clinics, virtually, and engage in community outreach. Our Visiting nurses provide client care in the client’s own home. They provide physical assessments, symptom control support, palliative care, rehabilitation therapy, wound care, education, counselling to individuals and families and much more.

What you'll do:
Client assessments
Provide primary care in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
Medication administration
Wound care
Chronic Disease Management, e.g. diabetes care and education
Specimen collection
Rehabilitative programs
Palliative Care
And many other critical nursing skills
What we're looking for:
Must be licensed as a Registered Practical Nurse in the province of practice
Community health experience is an asset
Must enjoy driving, have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
A satisfactory Criminal Records Check is required; a Vulnerable Sector Search and/or Child Abuse Registry Check may also be necessary
Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
