As a Registered Practical Nurse with WeeCare, you will do more than deliver care according to a care plan. You will provide reassurance, comfort, and consistency, becoming a trusted and valued extension of the client and family.
Position
Part-time Pediatric Registered Practical Nurse in Cambridge, ON.
Schedule
Monday to Thursday: 16:00–21:00
Friday: 18:00–21:00
Occasional weekend shifts between 08:00–17:00

General Duties
(specific duties may vary based on individual client needs)
Provide G/GJ tube care and management
Provide seizure care and management
Administer and document medications as prescribed, following CNO medication administration standards
Monitor and maintain the safekeeping of drugs and narcotics
Maintain child's records and required documentation in accordance with CNO standards
Assist the child with personal care, hygiene, and activities of daily living
Observe and report on changes in child's condition to guardian and WeeCare
Assist with ambulation, mobilization, transferring, and adaptive aids
Demonstrate understanding of child’s needs and maximize abilities
Provide cognitive, social, emotional, and psychological support to the child/parent/guardian
Respond to child/parent/guardian concerns and ensure appropriate action is taken
Assist in maintaining a safe and cleanly environment, including child’s equipment and belongings
Notify supervisor of any concerns impacting child’s safety, incidents, and accidents
Complete all other tasks as assigned
Requirements
Licensed and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
Seizure experience
Experience working with pediatric clients
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) completed within the past 6 months
