Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU at BJC West — NeverHard

**PCU RN – Cardiac** **Schedule** - Weekend requirement: 8 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule (combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday) **Assignment Details** - Contract Length: 13 weeks - Guaranteed Hours: 3 shifts per week **Requirements** - Minimum 2 years RN experience - Cardiac experience: Required - Teaching hospital experience: Required - Required certifications: BLS, ACLS - EMR: EPIC (training/modules required pre-start) - Core clinical skills: - Cardiac telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management - Post-cardiac care: post cath/angiogram, post MI, pre/post cardiac surgery - IV/vascular skills: starting IVs, peripheral IV care, central line/PICC care - Hemodynamics/medications management: manage cardiac and vasoactive drips - Respiratory support: HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP, chest tube management - Other: IV insulin protocols, feeding tube care **Roles & Responsibilities** - Monitor patients in a PCU/Telemetry/Cardiac Telemetry unit for changes in condition. - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to adjust care plans. - Educate patients and families regarding post-cardiac care and recovery. **Compliance / Notes** - Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only) - Max time off: 7 days (must be finalized at submission) - Documents due: 2 Fridays before start date - Pre-start modules: 10–15 hours total; due Monday 1 week prior to start - Parking: Free
