About the Role
The Regional Sales Manager – Eastern Canada is responsible for growing Tate’s raised access flooring and data centre business across Ontario, Quebec, and the Maritime provinces. The role will spearhead regional data centre business development while strengthening Tate’s dealer network and supporting direct and installation-led opportunities in Ontario. Working with dealers, owners, consultants, contractors, data centre operators, and internal teams, this position will identify opportunities, build market presence, support specifications, and guide opportunities through the commercial sales process.
What You’ll Do
Business Development & Sales
Develop and maintain relationships with dealers, owners, consultants, contractors, and key industry stakeholders.
Identify and pursue opportunities within raised access flooring, data centres, mission critical facilities, and commercial construction markets.
Conduct dealer and customer meetings, site visits, lunch-and-learns, product training, and project presentations.
Support specification development, design engagement, and early-stage project positioning.
Maintain and grow a healthy sales pipeline through active regional market development.
Provide market intelligence, competitive insights, dealer feedback, and customer input to support business growth.
Collaborate with estimating, engineering, operations, installation, and project management teams to develop project solutions, quotations, and commercial strategies.
Develop and support dealer and channel partner relationships across Ontario, Quebec, and the Maritime provinces.
Data Centre Market Development
Spearhead Tate’s data centre growth strategy across Eastern Canada.
Develop relationships with data centre owners, operators, consultants, general contractors, trade contractors, and other mission critical stakeholders.
Identify and advance new-build, expansion, retrofit, and modernization opportunities for Tate’s data centre solutions.
Lead early-stage opportunity development, including customer engagement, specification support, solution positioning, and commercial strategy.
Coordinate with Tate’s estimating, engineering, operations, installation, and project management teams to transition awarded opportunities into successful delivery.
Support Tate’s direct and installation-led business in Ontario while working through dealer and channel partners where appropriate across the broader Eastern Canadian market.
Track regional data centre investment, power availability, construction activity, competitive developments, and emerging customer requirements.
Dealer & Channel Development
Own and strengthen relationships with Tate’s dealer network across Eastern Canada.
Work with dealers to develop account plans, sales targets, and market coverage strategies.
Provide products, applications, and commercial support to help dealers pursue and win opportunities.
Coordinate early-stage project and specification activity with dealers and internal Tate resources.
Monitor dealer pipelines, conversion activity, market coverage, and overall performance.
Support consistent pricing, positioning, and customer experience across the region.
Create accountability and regular communication with dealer principals and sales teams.
Customer & Stakeholder Management
Build long-term relationships with dealers, customers, consultants, contractors, and other regional stakeholders.
Coordinate sales opportunities and customer requirements with estimating, engineering, operations, installation, project management, and other internal teams.
Provide regular pipeline updates, market intelligence, and sales activity reporting.
Support commercial issue resolution, customer transitions to the project delivery team, and post-sale relationship follow-up.
Represent Tate at industry events, dealer meetings, customer meetings, and regional networking opportunities.
Must be able to travel throughout Canada and the United States as required.
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in technical sales, dealer or channel management, construction products, building materials, data centre infrastructure, or related industries.
Experience working with architects, consultants, engineers, or specification-driven construction projects is considered an asset.
Demonstrated experience managing customer and dealer relationships and developing regional sales opportunities.
Strong understanding of commercial construction, specification sales, and channel-based go-to-market models.
Experience managing multiple sales opportunities, customer priorities, and regional relationships simultaneously.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.
Bilingual English and French capability are considered a strong asset.
