ROLE PROFILE Position: Regional Business Development Manager Location : Almaty, Kazakhstan Reporting to : Global Business Development Director and Chief Marketing Officer Travel : Up to 50% across Central Asia (esp. Kazakhstan) Purpose of the Role To drive sustainable business growth and strengthen the Company's presence in Central Asia (esp. Kazakhstan) by developing the distributor network, identifying new business opportunities, expanding market coverage, and ensuring effective execution of commercial and brand strategies. The role acts as the Company's representative in Central Asia and is responsible for delivering sales growth and long-term market development. Key Responsibilities Business Development & Market Expansion • Identify new business opportunities, channels, key customers and strategic partnerships. • Expand market coverage and increase brand presence across all Central Asia region, esp. Kazakhstan. • Conduct commercial negotiations and support contract execution with the local distributor partners • [A1] [A2] Develop and implement on a regular base sales growth initiatives. • Develop annual business plans, budgets and growth initiatives. Distributor Management • Manage and develop the relationship with the local distributor partners • Conduct regular business reviews and monitor distributor performance against agreed targets. • Identify gaps in territory coverage, customer base and portfolio presence. • Develop and implement initiatives to increase sell-in and sell-out performance. • Ensure appropriate stock levels, demand forecasting and product availability. • Negotiate annual plans and investment priorities. Market Development • Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, pricing and channel dynamics. • Identify growth opportunities and prioritize regions and channels for expansion. • Develop route-to-market recommendations and go-to-market strategies. • Monitor regulatory and business developments affecting the tobacco industry in the designated region. • Lead realization of excellent execution of marketing and trade-marketing activities to drive brand awareness and sales. Market Execution • Conduct regular market visits and customer meetings. • Monitor product visibility, distribution and execution standards. • Support new product launches and portfolio expansion initiatives. • Coordinate trade marketing activities and ensure execution excellence. • Build relationships with key customers, wholesalers and strategic accounts. Reporting & Business Planning • Prepare regular sales, pipeline and market intelligence reports. • Monitor and analyze KPI performance. • Prepare sales forecasts and annual business plans. • Provide recommendations to improve commercial effectiveness and profitability. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing or related field. • 5+ years of experience in Sales, Trade Development or Business Development with successful track record. • Experience managing distributors and indirect markets. • Strong knowledge of the Kazakhstan FMCG and/or tobacco market. • Experience in Tobacco, FMCG or Premium Consumer Goods industries is highly preferred. • Proven track record in developing regional sales and building commercial partnerships. • Ability to work independently and represent the Company in the market.
