The team at Willow Square Continuing Care Center is seeking a dedicated Recreation Therapist II, who will provide leadership and clinical expertise in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of therapeutic recreation services for seniors, supporting physical, cognitive, emotional, and social well being through meaningful leisure activities. You will coordinate programs, and ensures services align with individual care plans, organizational standards, and best practices in geriatrics. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized and group recreation interventions; documenting care and outcomes; collaborating with the interdisciplinary team; designing inclusive, age appropriate, and culturally responsive programs; supporting events and community partnerships; engaging families and caregivers; and ensuring all programs meet safety, infection prevention, and risk management requirements. Located within Fort McMurray which resides on Treaty 8 territory, and the lands of the Metis. Respecting the historical impacts of colonization, acknowledging traditional Indigenous beliefs and cultures, this position works towards the support of Indigenous peoples on these lands. As a Recreation Therapist II, you will take a leadership role in ensuring that the level of therapeutic recreation practice in your clinical area is evidence based, patient-and family-centred and in accordance with policies, procedures and standards of practice. You will provide clinical leadership to ensure safe and efficient care as well as coordinate the assessment, treatment, education and care of the patient (client, resident). You will participate in program development to ensure effective delivery of services, including the development of protocols, forms, education, and quality improvement initiatives. You will complete assessment, treatment, education and management of clients¿ treatment progress and provide clinical support and consultation. You will collaborate and communicate with the health care team and participate in patient rounds, family conferences and meetings as related to the client and family.

Required Qualifications
Completion of bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation or Recreation and Leisure Studies. Active or eligible registration for Professional Membership with Alberta Therapeutic Recreation Association (ATRA). Minimum three years' related clinical experience as a Recreation Therapist.
