Job Title: Warehouse Forklift Operator – Afternoon Shift
Job Description
This afternoon-shift warehouse role involves safely operating a variety of powered industrial trucks to complete order picking, replenishment, receiving, and put-away tasks in a fast-paced distribution environment. You will use the Raymond reach forklift and power pallet jacks, along with RF scanners and computer systems, to move, track, and verify inventory while performing regular heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities
Operate the Raymond reach forklift and power pallet jack to complete daily warehouse activities.
Perform accurate order picking and replenishment of products according to pick lists and RF scanner instructions.
Handle inbound receiving by unloading, verifying, and recording incoming products.
Complete put-away tasks by transporting products to designated storage locations and updating inventory systems.
Lift and move products weighing up to 50 lbs on a regular basis while following safe lifting practices.
Essential Skills
Minimum 1 year of experience operating the Raymond reach forklift, not required to be recent.
Proficiency operating dockstockers in a warehouse environment.
Experience operating power pallet jacks / walkies for material handling.
Comfort lifting and handling up to 50 lbs of product on a regular basis.
Experience using RF scanners for order picking, receiving, and inventory control.
Basic computer skills to perform data entry and inventory-related tasks.
Warehouse experience including order picking, receiving, shipping, put-away, stacking, and general distribution work.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Alberta forklift certification is an asset.
Experience operating deep reach forklifts is an asset.
Experience with sit-down and counterbalance forklifts is beneficial.
Background working with multiple small clients or accounts within a shared warehouse is an advantage.
Comfort working in a dynamic environment where processes may change and require adaptability.

Work Environment
The position is based in a warehouse facility in southeast Calgary that services approximately 30 smaller clients. The main site operates with a team of about 50 warehouse staff. This is an afternoon shift role, working Monday to Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. You will work primarily indoors in a distribution warehouse, using equipment such as double pallet jacks, dockstockers, power pallet jacks, RF scanners, and computers. The environment is fast-paced and can be somewhat unstructured, with a strong emphasis on finding practical ways to complete tasks rather than strictly following fixed processes. Team leads and managers oversee small shifts, and you will collaborate closely with coworkers across different departments.
