Job Description AECOM’s Rail and Transit Signals group is seeking an experienced Intermediate or Senior Signals Design Engineer to work with the existing Canadian Signals team, working on projects across the country. The position is open for immediate employment in Western Canada, ideally based out of AECOM’s Calgary, Alberta office, with AECOM offering flexible work arrangements for work-life balance This is a newly created role. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Areas of Consulting: Aid Signals Design engineers with overall design strategies. Help better understand client needs and requirements. Act as the designated signals/systems specialist. Comply with corporate safety, values, and initiatives. Requirements management, CENELEC and other European standards. Design: Projects will be for: LRT and Subway transit systems North American heavy-rail freight and passenger systems to AREMA C&S standards Perform design, review, and checking (up to 3rd level) for new and modified vital circuitry and application logic programs for automatic block systems, centralized traffic control, interlockings, and highway grade crossing warning systems. Review own work and work done by others for adherence to applicable standards, rules and regulations, as well as all applicable client standards and signal design policies and procedures. Prepare technical specifications. Perform hands-on design. Perform design, review, and P. Eng. stamping 3rd level.
