Responsibilities:
Carry out inspections during the production of Diamond products per quality policy.
Identify, document and control non-conformances in accordance with the approved drawings and procedures.
Coordinate inspections activities with other affected departments.
Ensure all quality records, reports and forms are properly executed before approval.
Recommend improved inspection procedures and methods that which would improve the quality and economic efficiency of maintenance.
Accomplish the final release of all parts, assemblies, and the airworthiness of articles on which work has been performed, as required.
Oversee the proper tagging and identification of all parts and components as outlined in the QPM.
Provide for continuity of inspection, assuring completion of required inspection when personnel shift or assignment changes occur.
Ensure rejected and unserviceable parts are quarantined to prevent their reuse as serviceable parts.
Perform all work in accordance with Health and Safety policies.
Assist the Quality Assurance department in maintaining the production control and quality assurance systems.
Perform such other work as requested.
Skills & Experience:
Aircraft maintenance/manufacturing experience required.
Technical knowledge of materials and processes used at Diamond.
Knowledge and experience with the assembly of aeronautical products.
Knowledge and experience with the manufacturing of Diamond products.
Experience in reading and interpreting drawings.
Knowledge of Diamonds Production and Quality System.
Proficient in MS Office products.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to present ideas and give instructions/guidance to production co-workers.
Ability to prioritize work effectively.
High School diploma.
Knowledge in determining the airworthiness of a product or of in-process and final inspection of parts and assemblies is a benefit.
