Quality Assurance Inspector

Who are you?
As a Quality Assurance Inspector, you will know how to interpret drawing intent such as weld symbology and
Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) constraints. You will perform dimensional inspections of
weldments and assemblies, as well as weld bead analysis. In general, you will spend ~75% of the time on the
shop floor and ~25% completing digital Statistical Process Control (SPC) documentation. You are a high value
team member who is capable, trainable as well as self aware and easy to work with.

What will you do?
Internal Quality Assurance + SQA Inspector:
Conduct thorough inspections of products and tools to ensure they meet quality standards
and specifications (fixture setup & PPAP)
Perform Supplier Quality Audits on incoming machined and formed sheet metal
Identify and document defects, deviations, and non-conformities within an SPC framework
Work closely with the ME group to address quality issues and implement corrective actions
through our ERP and NCR process
Collaborate with the ME group to ensure fixture updates are logged and SOPs are being
followed
Process Improvement:
Assist the ME group to setup weld fixtures, Assy jigs and gages as well as monitor
manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement
Perform PPAP and time studies
Adhere to our Lean OpEx principles and best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce
waste
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate Excel records of inspection results, and quality reports
Prepare and present reports to ME and PE groups as required
Ensure compliance with AWS/CWB, ASME and CSA standards and regulations
What do you need to succeed?
CWB weld inspection Level 1 + Mechanical Engineering Diploma or combination of demonstrated
ability and experience
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Proficiency with CWB/AWS welding symbols and logic
Working knowledge of measurement instruments and Quality Assurance techniques
Familiarity with Lean OpEx
Familiarity with GD&T principles
Farming background considered an asset
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as the situation warrants
