Role: QA Testing resources Start date: ASAP End date: December 2026 Number of resources needed: 3-4 Location & work model: Edmonton, AB - Fully Remote. Must be able to work local hours. Qualifications & Skills Hands-on experience with modern UI test automation tools such as Cypress (what we current use) or Playwright This is not an ERP solution. It is a custom solution that will manage/house land titles registry data. They require the ability to architect a balanced test strategy—understanding what should be covered at the API/integration, and end-to-end levels to maximize coverage, maintainability, and execution efficiency Create test plans to support frequent delivery of features with consistent and satisfactory quality Create test cases and scenarios Design and implement system tests Design and implement load and performance tests Design and implement security tests Implement automated test suites Coordinate contributions to automated test suites Support and encourage the adoption of quality practices on a team such as code linting, test coverage, and Behavior/Test Driven Development (BDD/TDD) Support any initiatives regarding the use of re-usable testing components/suites, the creation of test databases or the use of AI during testing Support a team in defining metrics for service quality Note Cypress is a modern, open-source frontend automation framework designed specifically for testing web applications. It is widely used by developers and QA engineers to write End-to-End (E2E), component, integration, and unit tests . Unlike older testing utilities, Cypress operates directly inside the browser run-loop, offering faster test execution, reliable stability, and an intuitive debugging experience. Playwright is a free, open-source automation library and framework developed by Microsoft for conducting reliable end-to-end (E2E) testing on modern web applications. It allows developers and QA engineers to programmatically control web browsers to simulate real user interactions, verify web page behavior, and catch bugs before they reach production.
