Job Details Job Details: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Purchasing Administrator to join our Engineering team. This role is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong background in purchasing, manufacturing, and engineering, who is looking to utilize their skills in a challenging and rewarding environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of the engineering industry, and a proven track record of managing relationships with key stakeholders. Responsibilities: As a Purchasing Administrator, your primary responsibilities will include: 1. Developing and implementing purchasing strategies and policies to support the company's goals. 2. Coordinating with internal departments and external suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products and services. 3. Evaluating supplier performance, negotiating contracts, and managing relationships with key stakeholders. 4. Identifying opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement in the purchasing process. 5. Collaborating with the engineering and manufacturing teams to understand product requirements and ensure the procurement of high-quality materials. 6. Managing the purchasing process from the initial request for proposal (RFP) to the final delivery of products and services. 7. Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in the purchasing process. 8. Utilizing Microsoft Office and Access to maintain records, generate reports, and analyze purchasing data. Qualifications: The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications: 1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a purchasing role within the engineering or manufacturing industry. 2. A proven track record of managing relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers and internal teams. 3. Strong knowledge of purchasing strategies and processes, contract negotiation, and supplier evaluation. 4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Access, with the ability to generate reports, analyze data, and maintain records. 5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate complex information to a variety of audiences. 6. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner. 7. A degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. 8. Certification in purchasing or supply chain management, such as a Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP), is a plus.
