Job DescriptionJob DescriptionOur client, a major oil and gas producer, is looking for a new Purchaser to join their team. This is a 1-year maternity coverage position but may become a permanent role for the right candidate.
Position Details:
Office-based position located in Chetwynd, BC
Monday to Friday
7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch)
Approximately one-year term with potential for permanent employment
Primary Responsibilities:
Purchasing materials and services using the Limble CMMS
Coordinating parts procurement and deliveries
Communicating with vendors to obtain pricing, availability, and delivery schedules
Coordinating logistics for shipments to our operating facilities
Working closely with Maintenance and Operations to ensure materials are available when required
Occasional travel to our plant sites may be required. Company transportation will be provided.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous purchasing experience
Parts or industrial supply background preferred
Experience working in maintenance, oil & gas, or an industrial environment would be considered an asset
Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills
Experience with Limble or another CMMS would be an asset but is not required
