Purpose of the role
The Project Surveyor/Mine Technician is pivotal in ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely completion of all technical project objectives. This role involves surveying, quality assurance, quality control and performing a wide variety of technical tasks on-site.
Responsibilities
Health, Safety and Environment
Ensure full understanding and compliance with company policies and work in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and other local regulatory requirements.
Have the authority and responsibility to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
Fully supports and actively participates in the team safety program based on culture and innovation.
Ensures adequate measures are taken to deal with any known hazard that may arise in the course of work under their control. Ensures that the hazards, which cannot be eliminated immediately, are reported without delay to higher authority, and that personnel are aware of such hazards and of safety measures to be adopted to minimize them as far as reasonably practicable.
General Duties and Responsibilities

Sincerely and genuinely commit to working within the Cementation Safety Culture and working in compliance with all policies, procedures, and Health and Safety rules and regulations
Provide layout and as-built surveys for various construction activities.
Develop construction layout prints using CAD & Deswik.
Maintain rigorous quality control, ensuring all work meets or exceeds standards, and generate reports for all QC related activities.
Assist with developing Inspection Test Plans (ITP) & Field Installation Work Packages (FIWP).
Assist with project close-out documentation as needed.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
The role involves a mix of underground and office work, with exposure to extreme work conditions and potential hazards typical of mining operations. Must be capable of moderate physical activity, including lifting, carrying, and operating vehicles.
Qualifications
Experience with underground surveying of mines.
Basic understanding of mining operations and safety regulations.
Experience in Microsoft Office, CAD based software and Leica survey systems.
A Valid Drivers license is required
