Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary: Project Manager Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Division The Project Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing commercial refrigeration and air conditioning projects from initiation through completion. This role requires strong technical expertise in refrigeration and HVAC systems, combined with project management, estimating, customer service, and field coordination skills to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in commercial refrigeration and air conditioning installations, system troubleshooting, project coordination, and managing field operations. This position works closely with technicians, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers to deliver high-quality service and successful project outcomes. Key Responsibilities Plan, organize, and manage commercial refrigeration and air conditioning installation projects from start to finish. Coordinate project schedules, manpower, subcontractors, equipment, and material procurement. Manage project budgets, monitor project costs, and ensure profitability targets are achieved. Prepare project estimates, quotations, material take-offs, and proposals based on drawings and specifications. Conduct site visits to evaluate refrigeration and HVAC project requirements and provide technical recommendations. Read and interpret blueprints, refrigeration piping layouts, HVAC drawings, and technical specifications. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for refrigeration and air conditioning systems during installation and commissioning. Coordinate with technicians, project coordinators, dispatch, suppliers, and subcontractors throughout project execution. Ensure all refrigeration and HVAC installations comply with company safety policies, industry standards, and applicable codes. Maintain strong communication with customers regarding project progress, scheduling, and technical updates. Manage permits, inspections, startup documentation, and project closeout procedures. Support commissioning and system performance verification for refrigeration and HVAC equipment. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and suppliers. Assist with operational planning, workforce scheduling, and division growth initiatives. Perform quality inspections to ensure installations meet company and customer standards. Support continuous improvement initiatives for project execution and operational efficiency. Qualifications & Skills Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Previous experience managing refrigeration and HVAC installation projects is strongly preferred. Strong technical knowledge of commercial refrigeration equipment, air conditioning systems, piping, controls, and related components. Experience with supermarket refrigeration, rooftop units, split systems, chillers, or VRF systems is considered an asset. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings. Strong estimating, project coordination, and scheduling experience. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to refrigeration and HVAC systems. Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management abilities. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and field technicians. Strong commitment to workplace safety, quality assurance, and customer satisfaction.
