We are seeking an experienced
Mechanical Project Manager
to manage ICI mechanical construction projects from award through construction, commissioning and closeout.
This is a hands-on project management position. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall coordination, financial performance, schedule and successful delivery of assigned projects while working closely with general contractors, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, project coordinators and field personnel.
We are looking for someone who understands mechanical construction and can identify problems early, make decisions, follow through on commitments and take ownership of a project.
Responsibilities
Manage multiple ICI mechanical construction projects from award through closeout
Review contracts, drawings, specifications, addenda and project scope to establish project requirements
Develop project start-up plans, procurement requirements and construction priorities

Manage equipment and material procurement, including shop drawings, approvals, release dates and delivery requirements
Review architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical drawings for coordination issues and scope conflicts
Identify potential changes and prepare, price, negotiate and track change orders

Maintain accurate change, procurement, deficiency and project action logs
Develop and monitor project schedules, milestones and critical deliverables
Coordinate manpower and construction priorities with site supervisors and foremen
Communicate drawing revisions, site instructions and scope requirements to field personnel
Attend project meetings and represent Mechlines Contractors Ltd. with general contractors, owners and consultants
Manage relationships and correspondence with general contractors, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors
Review project progress and support preparation of monthly progress billings
Review subcontractor invoices and payment applications against completed work
Monitor outstanding receivables, holdbacks and change-order approvals related to assigned projects
Coordinate testing, inspections, commissioning and deficiency completion
Manage project closeout, including O&M manuals, warranties, record drawings and closeout documentation
Conduct site visits to monitor progress, identify issues and support field operations
Provide direction and support to Project Coordinators assigned to projects
Maintain organized and accurate project records using Microsoft 365, Teams and SharePoint

take ownership
. When an issue arises, they investigate it, determine what is required, communicate with the appropriate parties and follow it through to resolution.
