The Opportunity
Reporting to the Project Director, the Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, execution, and delivery of major energy infrastructure construction projects. This role is site-based and requires a high degree of mobility and flexibility to support rotational project assignments.You will act as the primary company representative on-site, leading multidisciplinary teams and overseeing all phases of project execution, from mobilization through final acceptance.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Representation
Serve as the senior on-site representative, fostering strong relationships with clients, communities, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
Lead project planning, contracting strategies, cost control, scheduling, and execution
Ensure alignment with safety, quality, environmental, and contractual standards
Project Coordination & Execution
Coordinate construction activities with Superintendents and Site Managers
Establish work methodologies and sequencing plans
Lead and chair site, client, and internal coordination meetings
Oversee procurement activities and subcontractor selection in collaboration with senior leadership
Exercise authority to stop work when safety or compliance is compromised
Project Controls & Close-Out
Manage cost tracking, productivity, contingencies, contracts, and change management
Oversee technical documentation, inspections, and quality compliance
Lead progress reporting and performance metrics for senior management
Coordinate inspections, audits, commissioning activities, and client acceptance
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Construction Engineering
Professional engineering designation (or eligibility) considered an asset
Minimum 10 years of experience managing large-scale construction projects
Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
High level of administrative rigor and financial acumen
Fluency in French; strong working proficiency in English
Ability to work in challenging site environments and adapt to changing conditions
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively
