Job DescriptionJob Description
Project Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to lead the engineering scope of large, complex infrastructure and energy projects. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating engineering activities across the full project lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. Typical projects may include substation upgrades, generating unit installations, major plant refurbishments, dam safety initiatives, and other critical infrastructure improvements.
As a key technical leader, you will oversee the planning and execution of engineering work, whether performed internally, by external consultants, or through equipment vendors. In situations where third-party design services are engaged, you will act as the owner’s engineering representative—facilitating technical reviews, coordinating internal stakeholders, and ensuring all deliverables meet quality and performance expectations.
You will collaborate closely with project managers to monitor project scope, schedule, and cost while proactively identifying and mitigating technical risks. Responsibilities include developing engineering execution plans, coordinating multi-disciplinary engineering teams, reviewing design packages and specifications, and supporting procurement and contract management activities.
During construction and commissioning phases, you will work with field operations, quality teams, and contractors to address technical issues, provide engineering guidance, and ensure successful project delivery. The role also requires preparing technical recommendations and communicating project updates to senior leadership.
