Job DescriptionJob Description Project Coordinator Location: Yellowknife, NT Work Schedule: Monday to Friday Employment Type: Full-Time Eligibility Requirement This position is designated for Tłı̨chǫ citizens only. Applicants must meet this requirement to be considered. Position Summary The Project Coordinator provides essential support to project teams, enabling the successful delivery of project objectives safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget. Reporting to the site project management team, this role collaborates with internal and external stakeholders across all phases of project execution. This role is responsible for supporting project controls, coordination processes, document management, and reporting functions to ensure the accurate and timely flow of project information. The Project Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining organized project documentation, supporting reporting requirements, and ensuring project systems and controls are effectively implemented. Key Responsibilities Support the site project management team with daily project coordination activities Administer document control processes, including tracking, review, and distribution of project documentation Maintain logs and records for drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, change documentation, and project correspondence Support daily, weekly, and monthly project reporting requirements Assist with project tracking, scheduling updates, and progress monitoring Maintain organized electronic and hard-copy project files Coordinate communication between site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders Ensure project information is accurate, current, and distributed appropriately Support implementation and continuous improvement of project management systems and processes Assist with mobilization, workforce coordination, and general project administration as required Qualifications & Experience Post-secondary education in Project Management, Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field is considered an asset 1–3 years of project coordination or administrative experience, preferably supporting construction, industrial, mining, remediation, or civil projects Experience supporting document control, project reporting, or project controls is considered an asset Understanding of project lifecycle processes and construction documentation Required Skills & Competencies Strong organizational and planning skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a project team Strong problem-solving and time-management abilities Adaptable, proactive, and solutions-focused mindset Technical Requirements Proficiency with: Microsoft Outlook Microsoft Excel Microsoft Word Ability to quickly learn company-specific project management and document control systems Work Environment This is a full-time, Yellowknife-based position working Monday to Friday in a dynamic construction, industrial, and environmental project environment, supporting a site project management team.
