Company Story
This general contractor delivers a diverse range of construction projects, including grocery stores, retail spaces, industrial facilities, and multi-family residential developments. The team takes a hands-on, collaborative approach to project delivery, with an emphasis on organization, accountability, and keeping projects moving forward. With a team-oriented environment and a variety of projects, this is an opportunity to join a business where initiative, adaptability, and a willingness to learn are valued.
The Right Fit
The Project Coordinator will support two Project Managers across multiple stages of construction, helping ensure project documentation, communication, schedules, and deliverables stay organized and on track. This is a primarily office-based role with periodic site visits, ideal for someone who enjoys being involved in the details of construction projects and working closely with project teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
We’re looking for someone who is proactive, organized, and detail-oriented, with strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset. You’re comfortable taking initiative, following up on outstanding items, and anticipating what needs to be done rather than waiting for direction. You can manage competing priorities, communicate effectively with a variety of people, and adapt when priorities shift.
The ideal candidate has approximately 2–3 years of construction coordination experience, although candidates with less experience may be considered if they bring the right attitude, organization, and willingness to learn. Most importantly, you’re adaptable, willing to pitch in where needed, and motivated to learn and grow alongside the team.
For someone interested in building a long-term career in construction, this role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple projects and the potential to grow into a Project Manager position over time.
What You'll Be Doing
Support two Project Managers with the day-to-day coordination and administration of multiple construction projects.
Review and organize shop drawings, project documentation, and construction correspondence.
Coordinate and track subcontractor quotes, project information, and outstanding deliverables.
Maintain organized project files, emails, records, and documentation.
Prepare meeting minutes and distribute information to keep project teams aligned.
Assist with the collection and organization of closeout documentation, including Operations and Maintenance (O&M) manuals.
Help track project schedules, budgets, change orders, Requests for Information (RFIs), and other key project details.
Coordinate information between Project Managers, site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
Conduct periodic site visits to support progress tracking, documentation, and quality control.
Follow up on outstanding items, help resolve coordination gaps, and ensure important details don't fall through the cracks.
Contribute to a collaborative team environment by providing support wherever needed to keep projects running smoothly.
What You Bring to the Table
Ideally, 2–3 years of experience in project coordination or a similar role within the construction industry; candidates with less experience may be considered.
Exposure to commercial, industrial, retail, or multi-family construction projects is an asset.
Strong general Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Experience with Microsoft Project and Bluebeam is a major asset.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
A proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving, follow-up, and keeping tasks moving forward.
A collaborative, team-first attitude and willingness to take initiative and pitch in across a variety of responsibilities.
Adaptability and accountability, with the ability to anticipate needs and work independently when required.
A desire to learn, develop construction project management skills, and grow professionally.
