Title Project Coordinator Job Status Temporary Full Time Position Overview The City of North Vancouver is the urban core of the beautiful North Shore and has a long-term vision to be “The Healthiest Small City in the World”, with five key priorities to be a City for People, a Resilient City, a Vibrant City, a Connected City and a Prosperous City. The Planning, Development & Real Estate department requires a temporary full-time Project Coordinator in the Development Services division for approximately 2 years. In this role, you will support the delivery of high-quality civil infrastructure works through development projects. Responsibilities Coordinate project activities across multiple disciplines and engage internal and external subject matter experts as required. Coordinate and participate in the review of civil engineering drawings, stormwater management plans, and technical studies prepared by consultants, working with technical reviewers to ensure compliance with applicable municipal standards and requirements. Assist with the administration of project-specific legal agreements, and permit requirements. Conduct site visit, monitor project progress, and prepare project status reports and correspondence. Coordinate utility servicing and infrastructure requirements with internal departments, consultants, contractors, and external agencies to ensure timely issue resolution and clear communication. Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, developers, utility providers, and member of the public. Support the delivery of development-related infrastructure projects from Planning through construction and project close-out. Requirements Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Building Technology, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline, supplemented by relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Professional designations such as PMP, P.Eng., EIT, AScT, or equivalent are considered assets. Experience in municipal engineering, civil consulting, land development, infrastructure planning, project management, or project delivery including: Strong understanding of subdivision processes, municipal servicing standards, and development engineering best practices. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, servicing plans, stormwater management plans, technical reports and legal documents. Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders and managing project deliverables in a collaborative environment. Familiarity with municipal development processes, CNV bylaws, and software such as AutoCAD, GIS, , Infor Public Sector, or similar system. Considerable knowledge of construction contracts, contract administration, municipal regulation, and project delivery practices. Proficiency in reading construction drawings and preparing technical correspondence and reports. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License. Compensation $51.51 to $60.87 per hour (Pay Grade 27 – 2026 rates) Hours of Work The City of North Vancouver currently works on a compressed work schedule of 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, with one scheduled day off (Monday or Friday) approximately each three-week scheduling cycle.
