This is a hands-on, working leadership role. As a PC, you will be actively
supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD)
on the floor each day, while also helping guide staff and support overall program operations.
You will be responsible for providing direct care, hands-on instruction, and positive behavioral support to ensure the health, safety, and success of the individuals we serve. In addition to direct support, you will assist with documentation, coordination of daily programming, and maintaining compliance standards.
While this is not a formal supervisory role, the PC takes the lead in daily operations, helping ensure the program runs smoothly and staff are supported and aligned. This position reports directly to the Program Director.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Provide direct support to individuals, including personal care, skill-building, and active participation in daily programming
Model and implement behavior supports, including de-escalation techniques during challenging situations
Support individuals in achieving personal goals and increasing independence
Assist the Program Director in maintaining consistent, high-quality programming
Support daily documentation by reviewing for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
Assist with ISP updates, data tracking, and progress notes as directed
Support goal tracking and help ensure documentation aligns with individual outcomes
Assist with planning and coordinating daily activities and program schedules
Coach and support DSP staff through modeling, guidance, and real-time feedback
Reinforce proper documentation practices and program expectations with staff
Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams
Assist with basic program operations, including supplies, scheduling support, and facility needs
