Required immediately, our LOCAL Edmonton BRANCH is seeking a Full Time Production Worker! Primary responsibility is fabricating CORIAN solid surface countertops and components, including cutting, seaming and sanding material. We perform both commercial and residential work. On a daily basis, the position requires the unloading and loading of supplies, operating polishers/grinders by hand, operate a mechanical lifter and cleaning up the floors and areas that surround the work area. Desired Skills & Experience: Must be hard working, motivated, well organized and task oriented. Basic computer skills, MS Office Strong communication (both written and verbal) Ability to read units of measurement Demonstrated knowledge of hand woodworking tools and the operation of power tools such as table saw, chop saw etc Strong attention to detail. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Able to withstand exposure to water (hands/feet) for extended periods of time Able to lift 30lbs regularly and 50lbs occasionally Able to work with hand tools using wrist and fine manipulation for extended periods of time. Able to stand for extended periods of time. Duties and Responsibilities: Reads and interprets plans and blueprints to produce solid surface counter tops within specifications Operates power tools of various sizes to customize solid surface materials Grinds, sands, cleans, and/or polishes surfaces Inspects and verifies quality of finished work pieces Glues edging on and create required profile Makes sink and plumbing cut outs as specified on the template Mounts sink if required Installs shims if required Maintains workstation in a clean and orderly manner Observes and ensure adherence to all safety procedures while on the production floor Other duties as assigned FLOFORM is proud to offer the successful candidate: Competitive Wages Medical and Dental Benefits RRSP Matching FLOFORM Countertops offers a positive and fun working environment that rewards those who share in our mission: “To consistently provide our customers the best countertop purchasing experience available.
