Job Title: Production Associate
Job Description
The Production Associate performs optical testing and precision assembly of small electronic components in a cleanroom laboratory environment. This role involves multitasking across multiple test benches, using computer-based tools and software to execute and document work, and following detailed digital instructions to assemble and inspect camera systems and related electronic products. The position requires strong attention to detail, comfort working with small parts and manual tools, and the ability to work safely with chemicals and cleanroom protocols while meeting production schedules and quality standards.
Responsibilities
Perform optical testing on camera systems, including running and monitoring up to 17 cameras simultaneously across multiple test benches.
Use testing software and digital tools to execute test procedures, record results, and ensure products meet quality and performance standards.
Connect and disconnect cables and equipment correctly to set up and complete test sequences.
Scan completed orders and update production status in SAP ERP to maintain accurate records and workflow visibility.
Retest failed products as required, document issues, and escalate problems by creating support calls to the reactionary team.
Follow scheduled work orders and prioritize tasks according to due dates to meet production timelines.
Work inside a cleanroom environment while wearing proper garb and PPE and strictly adhere to cleanroom protocols and procedures.
Essential Skills
At least 1 year of production experience, ideally working with small parts and precision assembly.
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in testing, assembly, and documentation.
Medium-level computer skills, including comfort using testing software, digital instructions, and ERP systems.
Ability to perform quality inspection and basic troubleshooting on electronic assemblies and camera systems.
Experience or familiarity with electronic assembly and working with small electronic components.
Ability to read and understand schematics, blueprints, or technical diagrams related to electronic products.
Work Environment
The role is based in a laboratory-style facility rather than a traditional factory, with work performed in a Clean Room level 100 environment that is climate controlled and meticulously maintained. The space is very clean and tidy, and employees work with advanced optical and electronic testing equipment, microscopes, manual tools, and computer systems including SAP ERP. Team members wear full cleanroom garb at all times, including a hairnet, a veil covering the nose and mouth area, and a full suit that covers from head to toe. Work involves extended periods in a seated position for fine assembly and inspection, handling small components and chemicals under strict safety and cleanliness standards. Shifts include an afternoon shift (2:00 p.m. to 10:15 p.m.) and a night shift (10:00 p.m. to 6:15 a.m.), providing opportunities for work outside standard daytime hours in a stable, controlled environment.
