Job DescriptionJob Description Job Title: Production Assembler Job Description This role involves performing a variety of production and assembly tasks to build, paint, test, package, and ship hydraulic winches in a clean and organized manufacturing environment. You will use hand and power tools, follow detailed work instructions and documentation, and support a small team to meet production goals. The assembly processes are well controlled, making training straightforward for individuals with basic mechanical aptitude, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude. Responsibilities Assemble hydraulic winches using a variety of hand and power tools, including wrenches, ratchets, impact guns, and similar equipment. Perform painting, testing, shipping, and packaging activities related to hydraulic winch production. Read and understand bills of materials (BOM) and shop work order paperwork to complete tasks accurately. Operate handheld scanners to track parts, materials, or work orders as required. Follow specific work instructions and standard operating procedures with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Perform repetitive tasks while maintaining quality and consistency throughout the production process. Identify potential quality issues during assembly or testing and promptly alert management. Adapt to changes in priorities and switch between tasks based on production needs and direction from management. Support the team to complete assigned tasks on time and contribute to a collaborative work environment. Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality, maintaining a consistent presence on the production floor. Lift and move materials or products weighing up to 50 pounds as part of daily work in a warehouse and shop setting. Essential Skills Minimum of 1 year of experience using hand and power tools in a production assembly or manufacturing environment. Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform mechanical assembly tasks. Ability to read and follow blueprints or a strong willingness to learn and develop this skill. Ability to read and understand bills of materials (BOM) and shop work order paperwork. Strong English communication skills for following instructions and collaborating with the team. Ability to operate handheld scanners for tracking materials and work orders. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a warehouse and shop environment. Capability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to follow specific work instructions and adapt to changing priorities. Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and demonstrated history of regular attendance. Ability to identify potential quality issues and communicate them to management. Additional Skills & Qualifications Warehouse experience in a manufacturing or production setting. Forklift certification or experience operating forklifts. WHMIS training or certification. Experience with mechanical assembly and production processes. Comfort using a range of hand and power tools in an industrial environment. Why Work Here? The schedule is a morning shift, Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, providing consistent daytime hours. PPE and necessary tools are provided, and the environment emphasizes safety, organization, and teamwork. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Delta, BC.
