Job Title: Production Assembler
Job Description
The Production Assembler plays a key role in building high-quality medical devices on a fast-paced production line. You will work at various assembly stations using small hand tools, follow written English instructions, and collaborate closely with a focused team to meet production goals. This role also includes periodic work in a cleanroom environment, where you will perform labeling and packaging tasks while standing for the entire shift. The position runs on a one-year contract and offers opportunities for overtime and long-term career growth for top performers.
Responsibilities
Work on a fast-paced production line as part of a team to complete daily production orders and meet output targets.
Rotate through up to 12 assembly stations, becoming fully trained on each station over approximately 2–3 months.
Follow detailed written English instructions to assemble units using small hand tools such as crimpers, screwdrivers, and tweezers.
Handle and assemble small pieces and parts with care, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in every step.
Maintain a consistent work pace to prevent bottlenecks and support continuous product flow on the line.
Work both alongside team members and independently at a designated station, depending on production needs.
Periodically work in a cleanroom environment on a rotating schedule, including potentially the first full week of employment.
While in the cleanroom, stand for the entire shift to label products, seal packaging pouches, and complete other assigned tasks.
Adhere strictly to cleanroom requirements, including wearing provided garments such as a heavy jacket and following all contamination-control rules.
Use basic computer skills to follow work instructions, record information, or complete required documentation as directed.
Lift and move items up to 30 pounds as needed in support of assembly and production activities.
Communicate clearly in English with team members and supervisors to coordinate work and resolve issues quickly.
Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures, including restrictions on cosmetics, jewelry, food, drink, and personal devices on the production floor.
Support a clean, organized, and efficient work area by following housekeeping standards and handling tools and materials properly.
Essential Skills
At least 1 year of experience working in a fast-paced production line environment.
Valid authorization to work for at least 2 years from the date of hire.
Willingness and ability to commit to a 1-year contract, with the understanding that it cannot extend beyond one year under internal policy.
Hands-on experience using small basic hand tools such as crimpers, screwdrivers, and tweezers for assembly tasks.
Ability to work with small pieces and parts during assembly with strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
Ability to stand for the entire shift, including extended periods in a cleanroom environment.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds (not on a repetitive basis) as needed.
Basic computer skills, including the ability to follow on-screen instructions or enter simple data.
Good English communication skills, both verbal and reading, sufficient to understand written instructions and interact with the team.
Comfort working in a cleanroom environment and following strict cleanliness and contamination-control rules.
Ability to work overtime when required to meet production demands.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to maintain a steady, efficient pace in a fast-moving production setting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Soldering experience, especially in a production or electronics environment.
Printed circuit board (PCB) assembly experience in a highly regulated work environment.
Ability to read and follow detailed soldering instructions, including matching numbers to wires and solder points.
High attention to detail while working quickly to maintain production flow.
Demonstrated ability to learn new tasks and stations rapidly and accurately.
Positive attitude, adaptability, and willingness to rotate between production line and cleanroom tasks as needed.
Why Work Here?
You will join a clean, well-organized facility with a friendly and diverse team that takes pride in building meaningful products. The organization offers an excellent work environment, a collaborative and hardworking culture, and opportunities for overtime to increase earnings. With growing production demand and a second production line added, there is strong potential for long-term career opportunities, including the possibility of permanent roles for the strongest performers. You will work in an inclusive setting that values different backgrounds and supports continuous learning on the job.
Work Environment
This is a second-shift position, working Monday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM. The production floor is clean, structured, and highly team-oriented, with approximately 60 people working together. The culture emphasizes pride in the products being built, a hardworking and focused team mindset, and an environment that embraces all backgrounds. The role includes periodic work in a cleanroom, where strict contamination-control standards apply. During cleanroom shifts, you will wear provided garments, including a heavy jacket, and you must not use cosmetics such as makeup, mascara, eyeliner, hair products, aftershaves, perfumes, fingernail polish, or fake nails. All jewelry, including earrings, rings, bracelets, and watches, must be removed for the duration of the shift, as cleanroom assignments may occur at any time. There is no eating or drinking on the production line, and phones, videos, and pictures are not permitted in production areas. The general dress code is casual, suitable for a production environment, while still complying with cleanroom and safety requirements.
