The incumbent is responsible for establishing and maintaining a corporate governance framework for product regulatory compliance. He or she serves as the internal technical authority on matters related to standardization and regulatory compliance, while ensuring that regulatory requirements are integrated into the product development cycle and the quality management system.

As a Product Regulatory Compliance Specialist, you must be able to:
Governance & Standardization
Define and harmonize processes for managing product regulatory compliance files
Structure and maintain Technical Construction Files (TCFs) required by applicable regulations
Standardize templates and regulatory documentation
Implement centralized tracking of certifications and renewals
Structure the integration of third-party tools (e.g., Assent)
Project Support
Participate in early-stage phases to identify applicable standards
Support project managers in defining regulatory requirements
Contribute to system reviews
Define certification strategies and test plans
Quality Integration
Define the management of regulatory non-conformities
Support third-party audits and inspections (CSA, NRTL, etc.)
Oversee the use of regulatory markings
Regulatory Monitoring
Monitor regulatory developments (cybersecurity, PFAS, new directives)
Assess the impact on product lines
Ensure the maintenance of certifications over time
Proactively inform business units

What makes you an asset to our team
College diploma (D.E.C.) or university degree (B.A.C.) in industrial, mechanical, or electrical engineering, quality assurance, or a related field.
7–15 years of experience in international product compliance
Proficiency in IEC standards (61010, 61326, 61000, radio, batteries, etc.)
Experience with third-party certification (CSA, UL, FCC, etc.)
Understanding of multi-market issues
Cross-functional leadership without direct line authority
Ability to analyze regulations and think systemically
Ability to work cross-functionally and influence others without direct reporting lines
Rigorous, critical thinking, and a focus on prevention
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Advanced English proficiency, both spoken and written
Practical knowledge of ISO 9001:2015
General knowledge of manufacturing systems (ERP)
Ability to continuously familiarize oneself with the product line
Ability to pay close attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to analyze data using Microsoft Excel
