Job Title: Process Technologist
Job Description
The Process Technologist plays a key role in pharmaceutical manufacturing by setting up and operating production equipment, mixing and dispensing powders, recording process data, and cleaning machines and rooms in accordance with strict Good Manufacturing Practices. This position involves working across multiple processing departments, handling materials and products, and consistently lifting up to 40 lbs while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and documentation.
Responsibilities
Process and manufacture pharmaceutical products in accordance with written processing orders.
Prepare manufacturing areas and equipment for the production of pharmaceutical products, ensuring readiness and cleanliness before use.
Clean processing equipment and production rooms following written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Ensure product quality meets internal standards, client expectations, and applicable regulatory requirements from agencies such as HPFBI, FDA, and EMEA.
Follow all Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) requirements and Good Manufacturing Practices at all times.
Operate a centralized control panel with electronic or computerized systems to oversee and optimize physical and chemical processes across multiple processing units.
Manage the initiation, shutdown, and troubleshooting of production processes to maintain efficient and safe operations.
Collect product samples, perform basic tests, record process and quality data, apply statistical process control to operations, and maintain accurate production logs and documentation.
Essential Skills
Minimum 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment operating under GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
Proven experience in pharmaceutical or related manufacturing processes, including production and processing of solid dose products.
Ability to consistently lift up to 40 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks throughout 12-hour shifts.
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to set up, operate, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.
Experience with process technologist duties such as mixing, dispensing, tableting, granulation, and batch record documentation.
Knowledge of GMP requirements and quality assurance principles in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience as a Process Technologist or Production Technician in the pharmaceutical industry.
Background in solid dose manufacturing, including granulation, batch mixing, compression, and coating operations.
Familiarity with pharmaceutical manufacturing documentation such as batch records and production logs.
Understanding of statistical process control concepts and their application in manufacturing operations.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of MISSISSAUGA, ON.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
