Process Engineer
MacDonald Search Group has been asked by our
industrial manufacturing / building materials
client to find a first-class
Process Engineer
to join their team in the
Canada (remote / hybrid)
. The primary responsibility of this role will be to drive process optimization, safety, and innovation across lime, limestone, and low-carbon cementitious manufacturing operations.
Some of what you will do in this role includes:
Champion safety and participate in cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives
Troubleshoot and optimize manufacturing processes, including pyro-processing and materials handling
Perform heat and mass balance analyses to improve process performance and efficiency
Support equipment selection, commissioning, and plant improvement projects
Collaborate with plant, technical, and HSE teams to ensure operational and environmental compliance
You should have the following in your background to apply:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Controls Engineering, or a related field
4+ years of experience in lime, cement, industrial minerals, or heavy industrial manufacturing
Strong understanding of process control systems, instrumentation, and pyro-processing
Experience with plant commissioning, project support, and process optimization
Willingness to travel up to 50% across the U.S. and Canada
