This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Principal, Life Sciences Commercial Strategy in Canada.
This is a senior, high-impact client-facing and technical leadership role at the intersection of life sciences commercial strategy, data science, and enterprise solution architecture. You will act as a trusted advisor to pharmaceutical executives while also engaging deeply with technical stakeholders to design scalable, data-driven commercial intelligence solutions. The role is central to transforming how life sciences organizations leverage AI-powered insights to optimize engagement, improve prescribing outcomes, and accelerate patient access to therapies. You will bridge business strategy and technical execution, ensuring solutions are both commercially meaningful and architecturally sound. Operating within strategic client engagements, you will lead discovery, shape solution design, and ensure alignment between customer needs and platform capabilities. This position requires a blend of executive presence, technical fluency, and consultative leadership in a fast-moving, innovation-driven environment. You will also play a key role in translating complex data ecosystems into actionable commercial outcomes that drive measurable ROI.
Accountabilities:
Lead strategic solution architecture for enterprise life sciences clients, translating complex commercial challenges into scalable “data-to-insight” solutions
Own technical discovery, validation, and feasibility assessment, ensuring solutions align with platform capabilities and avoid unnecessary customization
Partner with sales and client teams to drive technical wins and ensure proposed solutions deliver measurable commercial ROI
Develop and deliver high-impact technical demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and executive-level presentations
Act as a trusted advisor to pharmaceutical commercial leaders, bridging strategic objectives with technical execution realities
Create architectural frameworks, data flow models, and best-practice materials to support client adoption and platform success
Identify technical risks early and design mitigation strategies to ensure successful implementation and value realization
Provide structured feedback to product and engineering teams to influence roadmap and improve solution scalability and performance
Support knowledge transfer, education, and mentorship for both clients and internal stakeholders on technical methodologies
Requirements:
10+ years of experience in life sciences commercial operations, analytics, or related pharma technology environments
Strong background in solution architecture, data science, technical consulting, or sales engineering roles
Deep understanding of pharmaceutical commercial data ecosystems, including claims data, HCP engagement, omnichannel strategy, and CRM platforms (e.g., Veeva, Salesforce)
Proficiency in SQL and Python with the ability to analyze, validate, and manipulate complex datasets
Experience designing data architectures, integration patterns, and scalable analytics solutions
Proven ability to engage and influence senior pharmaceutical and enterprise stakeholders
Strong executive communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear business value
Experience creating technical documentation, frameworks, and client-facing solution materials
Hands-on mindset with comfort operating across strategy, design, and technical execution layers
Familiarity with AI-driven workflows and modern automation tools is highly valued
