Preflight Aircraft Mechanic
Job Description
This role focuses on performing preflight activities on newly built aircraft within the pre-flight department, ensuring that all systems function correctly between final assembly and customer acceptance. You will use specialized equipment to carry out functional checks, engine runs, and inspections, and you will document all work in accordance with established procedures and regulatory requirements.
Essential Skills
Valid M2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME-M2) license.
Minimum of
3 years of experience
in a similar aircraft maintenance or preflight role.
Proven experience in troubleshooting aircraft systems and components.
Hands-on experience with rigging of aircraft systems and flight controls.
Demonstrated maintenance experience on aircraft in a production or operational environment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and related documentation.
Strong interpersonal skills with a high level of professionalism in day-to-day interactions.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high quality and safety standards\
Work Environment & Shift Information
Large, clean, and bright shop-floor production environment specializing in safety, precision and adherence to procedures
This is a permanent off-shift position, must be available to work evenings (3:00-11:00pm) / overnights (10:00pm-6:00am)

Responsibilities
Perform all preflight operations on aircraft between final assembly and customer acceptance, using the appropriate tools, equipment, and test systems.
Conduct functional checks of aircraft systems and components, including engine runs, to verify proper operation and readiness for delivery.
Carry out work related to aircraft assembly and integration from early development stages through to final assembly, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and quality standards.
Perform troubleshooting on aircraft systems and components to identify, diagnose, and resolve mechanical or systems issues.
Carry out rigging tasks on aircraft systems, ensuring proper alignment, adjustment, and operation of flight controls and related mechanisms.
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities as required to support preflight readiness.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering documentation to perform accurate installations, adjustments, and repairs.
Complete all required inspection reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner, maintaining full compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures and quality standards while working on and around aircraft.
Work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with other technicians, engineers, and support staff as needed.
Maintain a professional demeanor and communicate effectively with colleagues and other stakeholders in the production and preflight process.

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $102000.00/yr.
