Role Purpose Responsible for developing and executing public relations and corporate communications strategies in the assigned market, ensuring a strong and positive brand reputation, effective stakeholder engagement, and proactive management of media relations and communication risks. The role supports market growth by strengthening trust among customers, drivers, partners, government stakeholders, and the public. Key Responsibilities - Public Relations & Media Management • Develop and execute local PR strategies aligned with business and brand objectives • Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with media agencies, journalists, editors, and key opinion leaders (KOLs/KOCs) • Lead media engagement activities including press releases, media briefings, interviews, and press conferences • Monitor media coverage and proactively identify communication opportunities • Ensure positive and consistent brand representation across earned media channels - Corporate Communications & Stakeholder Engagement • Develop communication plans for key business initiatives, partnerships, and market expansion activities • Manage communications with strategic partners, government agencies, industry associations, and relevant stakeholders • Support executive communications and leadership visibility when required • Coordinate local communication activities in alignment with Global Communications and Brand teams - Brand Reputation & Crisis Communications • Lead social listening and reputation monitoring activities across media and digital platforms • Identify potential communication risks and recommend mitigation plans • Manage crisis communication response and rapid reaction protocols during incidents or sensitive issues • Prepare holding statements, Q&A documents, media responses, and stakeholder communication materials • Ensure timely escalation and alignment with global communication guidelines - Content Development & Storytelling • Develop compelling communication content including press releases, corporate announcements, executive speeches, media kits, and thought leadership materials • Localize global communication materials for the local market • Support storytelling initiatives that strengthen GSM’s brand purpose, sustainability positioning, and market leadership • Collaborate with Brand and Digital Marketing teams to ensure messaging consistency - Communication Performance & Insights • Track and evaluate PR and communication performance metrics • Monitor brand sentiment, share of voice, media coverage quality, and reputation indicators • Analyze market trends, public sentiment, competitor activities, and communication best practices • Provide recommendations to improve communication effectiveness and brand perception - Cross-functional Collaboration • Work closely with Growth, Brand Marketing, Operations, Government Affairs, Marketplace, and Product teams • Support market launch activities, strategic partnerships, and corporate events • Ensure compliance with communication governance, approval processes, and global brand guidelines Key Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Business, or related fields • 3+ years of experience in Public Relations, Corporate Communications, External Affairs, or Integrated Communications • Experience working with media, government stakeholders, and external partners • Strong understanding of crisis communication and reputation management • Experience in mobility, technology, platform, e-commerce, transportation, or fast-growing consumer businesses is preferred • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills • Strong written and verbal English communication skills • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced and high-growth environments Key Competencies • Public relations and media management • Crisis communication and reputation management • Stakeholder engagement and influence • Strategic communication planning • Storytelling and content development • Cross-functional collaboration • Strong execution and project management Note: Due to the high volume of applications received, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for the next stage of the recruitment process.
