Summary
As a
Power BI Analyst Consultant
, you will play a critical role in enabling data‑driven decision‑making across the business by leading the transition from Excel‑based reporting to scalable, automated Power BI solutions. This role directly supports production, quality, planning, and other operational teams by delivering clear, reliable insights that improve visibility, efficiency, and performance across multiple functions.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards, semantic models, and dataflows that support operational and business decision‑making.
Develop and optimize data models using DAX and Power Query (M) to ensure accuracy, performance, and scalability.
Integrate data from ERP systems and other structured data sources into Power BI solutions.
Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and translate business needs into effective analytics solutions.
Lead the migration of legacy Excel‑based reports into standardized, automated Power BI dashboards.
Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT), iterate on feedback, and ensure solutions meet business requirements.
Create documentation and provide knowledge transfer to enable end users to effectively leverage reporting tools.
Provide post‑deployment support to ensure ongoing reliability and usability of dashboards and reports.
Qualifications
Proven experience developing Power BI dashboards and data models in a business or operational environment.
Strong hands‑on knowledge of Power BI, DAX, Power Query (M), and Excel.
Experience integrating data from ERP systems and other enterprise data sources.
Ability to interpret and work with SQL queries and data structures.
Demonstrated experience migrating Excel‑based reporting into Power BI solutions.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred.
Microsoft Power BI certification or formal education in data analytics, computer science, or a related field is considered an asset.
Pay Rate:
The hourly salary range for this position is $50 to $$60. This range represents the anticipated base salary and target incentive for this position. The final total compensation will be determined based on the successful candidate’s skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.
