Summit Search Group is proud to partner with Monette Farms Ltd. in the recruitment of their next Potato Crop Manager.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced agricultural professional to take ownership of potato production within one of Western Canada's premier farming operations. Reporting to the Farm General Manager, the Potato Crop Manager will oversee all aspects of potato production—from field preparation and planting through harvest—ensuring efficient operations, strong crop performance, and high-quality results.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being in the field, working alongside the team, making sound agronomic decisions, and helping deliver a successful crop season.

What You'll Do
Crop Production
Oversee all aspects of potato production, including field preparation, planting, irrigation, crop protection, and harvest.
Monitor crop health and make timely agronomic decisions to maximize yield and quality.
Manage irrigation systems and execute spray programs based on crop and field conditions.
Coordinate harvest activities and ensure product moves efficiently into storage.
Prepare fields for future production following harvest.
Team Leadership
Lead, assign, and supervise machinery operators and harvest crews.
Build and manage daily and weekly work schedules.
Train employees to meet standards for efficiency, quality, and safety.
Hold team members accountable to performance expectations.
Review and approve employee time records for payroll submissions.
Quality, Safety & Farm Operations
Ensure food safety, farm safety, and biosecurity standards are consistently followed.
Monitor product quality to meet customer expectations.
Identify issues early and take prompt corrective action.
Maintain accurate production, quality, and traceability records.
Coordinate equipment use and maintenance with the operations team.
Assist with infrastructure upkeep and support other farm operations during the off-season as needed.
Data, Planning & Communication
Track labour, crop performance, and field data to support operational decision-making.
Maintain records required for food safety and product traceability.
Communicate regularly with the Farm General Manager regarding crop progress, labour requirements, and operational challenges.
Coordinate equipment scheduling and maintenance with the operations team to ensure efficient field operations.
What You'll Bring
3+ years of experience in potato crop production or commercial potato farm management.
3+ years of experience supervising field crews in an agricultural environment.
Experience operating modern farm equipment.
Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, crop protection programs, and agronomic practices.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with production reporting, record keeping, and food safety documentation.
Spanish language skills and a Class 1A licence are considered assets.
