Job DescriptionJob Description Job Title: Plumber Job Description We are seeking a skilled journeyman or 3rd or 4th year apprentice plumber or Journeyman with extensive commercial experience. The ideal candidate will be involved in various plumbing tasks such as dealing with above slab installations, copper water lines, hydronic heating and cooling systems, plastic, storm sewers, sanitary sewers, gas line installations, building mechanical rooms, and installing equipment for both plumbing and hydronic systems. Most of the work is based in the north of Calgary and Balzac. Responsibilities Conduct above slab installations and handle copper water lines. Install hydronic heating and cooling systems, storm and sanitary sewers, and gas lines. Build mechanical rooms and install equipment for plumbing and hydronic systems. Lead an apprentice and work independently on commercial projects. Read blueprints and ensure adherence to project specifications. Perform daily tasks as required by a journeyman plumber. Manage site operations after training with the current foreman. Why Work Here? A typical workweek is Monday to Thursday with 9-hour days and an 8-hour day on Friday, totaling regular hours. Foremen arrive earlier to complete paperwork and organize the team. You will be trained for a month with a current foreman before managing your own site. Candidates should have necessary PPE, including 6-inch steel-toe boots, hard hats, gloves, glasses, and vests. Sites are located throughout Calgary. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Calgary, AB. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $44.00/hr.
