6-month contract Platform Engineer role with a global enterprise organization. Up to 3 Platform Engineer roles with a different focus in the Secure Delivery Platform team Global enterprise organization In office work environment with 4 days a week in office. What & Why: Our client is hiring up to three Senior Platform Engineers to join their Secure Delivery Platforms team, each bringing deep specialization in one of three critical areas: Infrastructure as Code, AI systems engineering, or GitLab platform engineering. These are hands-on technical leadership roles responsible for designing, operating, and evolving enterprise-scale DevOps and SDLC platforms that support engineers across a large, complex organization. In this role, you will own and operate core platforms, including GitLab SaaS and Terraform Cloud (at enterprise scale), building and governing CI/CD pipelines, IaC modules, policy-as-code guardrails, and software supply chain security controls. You will integrate AI-assisted workflows into delivery pipelines, code review, and incident response, and develop self-service platform capabilities that improve developer experience and accelerate outcomes. You will partner closely with product, security, and engineering teams, contribute to platform roadmap decisions, and mentor other engineers across the organization. The three profiles being hired are distinct. For the IaC role, you must bring deep Terraform Cloud or Terraform Enterprise experience; open-source Terraform alone is not sufficient. For the AI systems role, you must demonstrate confidence building enterprise-grade AI agents with real DevOps application not code generation or prototyping. For the GitLab role, you must have managed a GitLab SaaS environment at the platform level; having built CI/CD pipelines as a developer does not meet the bar. This role is primarily on site, 4 days a week in their downtown Vancouver office. You: You will bring the following education, skills and experience to the role: 10+ years in platform engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles, with proven ownership of high-availability, production-grade platforms and a specialization in at least one of: Terraform Cloud/Enterprise, enterprise AI agent development, or GitLab SaaS platform administration Deep hands-on experience with your area of specialization — Terraform Cloud or Enterprise (not open-source only), enterprise-level AI agent frameworks with DevOps application, or GitLab SaaS platform management (not pipeline development only) Strong expertise in Kubernetes, AWS or equivalent cloud infrastructure, and distributed systems, with experience embedding security, compliance, and policy-as-code controls into delivery workflows Excellent collaboration and communication skills across engineering, product, and security stakeholders, with the ability to translate platform capabilities and emerging market features into practical enterprise use cases Compensation: This role pays between $80-90 per hour .
