This position is primarily responsible for basic maintenance, support, and labour at the plant facility. Responsibilities Perform general labour throughout the plant. Perform basic maintenance on plant equipment. Assist Plant Manager with needed tasks and operations. Dump ice and other materials into concrete mixtures. General housekeeping and yard work. Operation of skidsteers and other small equipment. Participate in and adhere to all safety protocols, polices, and procedures. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Valid class 5 drivers license and clean drivers abstract. General construction experience. Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform tasks physical in nature on a consistent basis. Basic mechanical ability to perform maintenance repairs. CSTS Certification is preferred. WHIMIS training is preferred. Must be able to be clean shaven (mask fit is required for employment) Key Attributes Reliable and dependable. Excellent verbal communication skills. Team player with the ability to follow directions. Safety conscious attitude. Hours Of Work This is a full time, permanent position. Shifts times vary based on production schedules, including early mornings, afternoons, and occasional night shifts. However, typical hours of work are 8-10 daily. Shifts may be scheduled Monday – Saturday. Overtime, evenings, weekends, and occasional night shifts are required. Work Environment An outdoor and indoor environment, working conditions will be subject to weather conditions. This position is physical in nature and requires bending, crawling, crouching, and standing for long periods of time. Materials are heavy and cumbersome, must be able to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
