About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Pipelayer to install underground water, sewer, and storm systems. The successful candidate will work in trenches alongside operators and Topman to ensure pipe is installed safely and to proper line and grade.
Key Responsibilities
Install water, sewer, and storm pipes
Prepare trench bottoms (bedding, leveling, compacting)
Align and connect pipe to proper line and grade
Work with Topman and excavator operator during trenching
Install manholes, catch basins, and fittings
Check pipe elevations using lasers or grade rods
Ensure proper compaction and backfill
Follow all safety procedures and regulations
Qualifications & Experience
25+ years experience in underground utility construction
Strong knowledge of:
Pipe installation methods
Line & grade
Trench safety
Ability to read basic construction drawings
Experience working in trenches and around heavy equipment
Physically fit and able to handle demanding work
