Key Responsibilities
Safely and effectively pilot STARS aircraft.
Maintain a Category 1 aviation medical.
Maintain currency and proficiency with respect to aircraft flown, regulations, publications, training standards, and licensing requirements.
Work the touring schedule: 8‑12 days on followed by 8‑12 days off, with periods of 4‑6 days, 4‑6 nights, and 8‑12 off; schedule is set and communicated within the last 3 months of the preceding year.
Be available for the AH‑145 training course start date of September 14, 2026.
Work day and night shifts to support STARS’ 24/7/365 patient‑care mission.
Qualifications & Requirements
Current aircraft captain or eligible to upgrade to captain within 6 months.
Valid Commercial Rotary‑Wing Licence.
Minimum 1,000 hours of helicopter experience.
Multi‑engine and night/IFR experience desirable.
Helicopter Airline Transport Licence exams completed.
Group 4 Instrument rating and Helicopter Night Ratings required.
Valid Class 1 medical.
Airbus H145 type rating considered an asset.
Ability to complete the Controlled Goods Security Assessment Application for Night Vision Goggle purposes.
Immunization records with required vaccinations.

All STARS Pilot roles are physically demanding and require overall strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular capabilities.
All Pilot roles have bona fide occupational requirements, e.g., physical standards, that are integral to fulfilling the role. These are detailed in the Pilot Physical Demands Analysis shared during recruitment.
All Pilot roles are required to wear personal protective equipment.
