Inspire Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a locums assignment in beautiful La Jolla, California. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a highly collaborative outpatient oncology team in a well-supported clinical environment with a predictable schedule and exceptional work-life balance. Schedule: 4-5 scheduled clinic days per week Day shifts only No call No weekends Clinical Setting: Outpatient Hematology/Oncology clinic Collaborative multidisciplinary oncology team Infusion center support onsite Well-supported APP and physician environment Manageable daily patient volume Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive outpatient hematology and oncology care Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients undergoing cancer treatment and follow-up care Manage infusion-related patient care and treatment coordination Perform pre-operative and post-operative evaluations and follow-up care for oncology patients Collaborate closely with oncologists, infusion nursing staff, surgeons, and ancillary teams Participate in patient education, treatment planning, documentation, and care coordination Deliver compassionate, patient-centered oncology care Scope of Practice: Bread-and-butter Hematology/Oncology outpatient care Infusion management experience required Pre-op and post-op care experience required Focus on clinic-based patient management, follow-ups, treatment coordination, and continuity of care Requirements: Board-certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Active California license (or ability to obtain) Prior Hematology/Oncology experience required Infusion experience required Pre-operative and post-operative care experience required Strong clinical, communication, and collaborative skills Why This Opportunity?
