The Pharmacy Technician I provides technical and operational assistance to the Pharmacy Department in the preparation, checking, distribution and procurement of pharmaceuticals. The Pharmacy Technician I is responsible for the provision of services in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the HSAA Paramedical Professional/Technical Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with Alberta College of Pharmacists (ACP) required.
Additional Required Qualifications
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams). Demonstrated experience supporting medication preparation, dispensing accuracy, inventory management, and medication distribution processes in alignment with regulatory standards and best practices. Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume pharmacy environment. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams as required.
Preferred Qualifications
Recent experience in a community or hospital setting with demonstrated knowledge of medication distribution processes and pharmacy workflow.
