Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized
Pharmacy Assistant
to support our centralized prescription fulfillment operations. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in pharmacy support services, strong communication skills, and a passion for delivering excellent patient care.
Responsibilities
Accurately process, prepare, and package prescriptions using pharmacy systems.
Support day-to-day operations in our centralized prescription fulfillment center.
Maintain inventory control and manage medication stock levels.
Report discrepancies and assist in regular inventory audits.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal protocols.
Coordinate with pharmacists and support staff for timely medication delivery.
Uphold patient confidentiality and project a positive company image.
Perform daily quality assurance and safety checks.
Receive, process, and manage new and repeat prescription orders.
Adjudicate third-party billing (online and manual), and manage Third-Party Accounts.
Handle incoming calls, faxes, and refer inquiries to pharmacists as required.
Assist pharmacists with call-backs and complete documentation accurately.
Support prescription workflow, including data entry, refill processing, and labelling.
Experience/Qualifications
High School Diploma required.
Diploma from a Pharmacy Assistant accredited program preferred.
Previous experience in a pharmacy setting strongly preferred.
Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative team
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency in pharmacy systems and understanding of third-party billing processes.
Flexible to work weekends/holidays
