Permanent Family Physician – Northeast Urgent & Primary Care Centre Location: 2788 East Hastings Street, Vancouver, Canada Job Type: Long Term (>8 weeks) Proposed Dates: Apr 14 2026 – Mar 14 2027 Hours: Either full‑time or part‑time Description: This is an opportunity for a Family Physician (FP) or Emergency Physician (EP) to work either in a full‑time or part‑time position at the Northeast Urgent and Primary Care Clinic (UPCC) in Vancouver. Remuneration: Clinical Service Contract Qualifications Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) Eligible – Mandatory Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) – Mandatory Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) License – Provisional Knowledge & Abilities Combines current or recent experience in primary care along with urgent or emergent care, with a clear understanding of the role and importance of foundational primary care, with the ability to integrate the two. Positive, energetic, and empathic with strong communication skills and natural attention to detail. Responsibilities Provide urgent care for patients with non‑life‑threatening injuries, illnesses and conditions addressed within 12‑24 hours (CTAS 3,4,5). Operate the UPCC 7 days per week, year round – Monday–Saturday 08:00‑22:00; Sunday and holidays 09:00‑17:00. Deliver team‑based care with off‑site rapid access to X‑ray, ultrasound and labs. Link patients to appropriate care pathways including specialists, social services, and primary care. Integrate treatment and follow‑up with existing Primary Care providers and support patients in finding Primary Care if unattached. Participate in learning, skill development and continuous quality improvement through clinical simulation exercises and quality improvement initiatives.
