Description Mid-Main Medical Clinic & CHC are looking to grow their team by 1 or 2 providers and are specifically seeking a family physician to take over a partial panel of one of their long‑term physicians who is looking to transition into retirement within the next year. You will have the opportunity to work alongside the physician while you build out your panel to ensure a smooth handover. Location 2205 Main Street, Vancouver, Canada Job Type Long Term (>8 wks) Proposed Dates Jul 15, 2024 - Jul 17, 2026 Hours Either full‑time or part‑time As a Key Member Of The Team, You Will Provide full‑spectrum family medicine, from pediatrics to geriatrics. Engage in shared decision‑making with patients, fostering a holistic approach to health. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated care. Participate in community outreach and health promotion initiatives. After‑hours on‑call rotation shared on a 1:9 rotation. Engage in quality improvement initiatives to continue to improve patient outcomes and the patient/provider experience. Qualifications & Experience Physician registered in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of B.C., and certified with the College of Family Physicians of Canada. Background working with youth, mental health, addictions, refugees, and frail elderly is desired. Experience or training in quality improvement is an asset. Clinic Overview Mid-Main Community Health Centre is a not‑for‑profit organization offering primary care and dental services in the vibrant Mount Pleasant neighbourhood. It is a full‑scope family practice supported by an on‑site clinical pharmacy that also functions as a diabetes educator and assists with chronic disease management. The team consists of 7 physicians, 2 nurse practitioners, 2 registered nurses, and 5 medical office assistants. The patient population is diverse, representing different ages, cultures, socioeconomic statuses, and medical complexity. The clinic has 8 exam rooms, 1 procedure room, 2 admin offices for telehealth appointments, and a shared clinician workspace to promote teamwork. Appointments are conducted both in person and virtually. The clinic’s experience support team of MOAs—trained to take patient vitals, prepare rooms, and assist with referral tracking—enhances efficiency. The secure patient portal streamlines lab requisitions, prescriptions, and patient communication. Hours & Schedule The clinic currently operates Monday‑Friday, 9am‑6pm, with extended hours on Tuesdays (8am‑8pm) and Saturdays (10am‑4pm).
