Respiratory Therapist A respiratory therapist is someone who cares for pediatrics that have trouble breathing. They also provide emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, stroke, drowning, or shock. RRT's can work in a variety of settings, including hospitals, doctor's offices, and clinics. Education/Requirements: Associate Degree within specialty is required, some states also require the completion of a certificate program. Valid state license required
