The successful candidate will support LCDS by:Performing routine building maintenance and minor repairs related to HVAC, plumbing and electricalCompleting preventative maintenance and general upkeep tasks including painting, drywall repairs, sprinkler system checksCompleting repairs in a timely mannerMaintaining inventory of supplies and equipment and informing supervisor of purchases as requiredPerforming inspections on the building and equipment as requiredNoting any security and safety measures that may need to be in place to supervisorMoving furniture, equipment and suppliesPerforming seasonal grounds maintenance as requiredMaintaining facilities, work areas, and tools in a clean, organized and safe conditionQualifications/Skills: Previous maintenance experience in a commercial or residential setting is considered an assetKnowledge of basic maintenance equipment, toolsAbility to work independently and prioritize tasks with minimal supervisionStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsReliable transportation and ability to travel between work sites Ability to maintain accurate maintenance logs and complete work ordersAbility to use smartphones, tablets, or computer-based maintenance management systemsAbility to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50lbsAbility to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditionsAbility to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends if requiredCompensation and scheduling:$25.19 per hour Part-time 24 hours per week including days, afternoons, evenings and weekends as neededWhat we offer:Vacation and Health & Wellness TimeGroup Pension Plan with Employer Contribution MatchingEmployee Assistance ProgramCorporate Retail, Mobility and Entertainment DiscountsTraining and Development OpportunitiesApplication deadline: September 10, 2026 @ 4:00pmAbout LCDS:Lambton County Developmental Services started back in 1955 when a group of parents whose children with developmental disabilities came together while dreaming of a life without limitation for their loved ones.
