Position: Part-Time Healthcare Security Guard - Lanark County Mental Health Site: Lanark Country Mental Health - 9 Armstrong Dr Smiths Falls Hours: Week 1: Fri, Sat, Sun 00:30 - 08:00 | Week 2: Sat, Sun 03:00 - 08:00 Payrate: $21.48 hourly Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours Internal posting date: June 16, 2026 Internal closing date: June 22, 2026 External closing date: June 30, 2026 Why Choose Paladin? • Opportunities for training and professional development • Competitive salary and benefits package. • Work today, get paid today-daily pay available • Free Uniforms • Security license reimbursement • Dry cleaning & hemming/tailoring allowance • Additional perks Job Responsibilities: • Maintain a visible, alert, and professional security presence • Greet, assist, and direct visitors and staff as needed • Ensure safety and security of clients, property, and assets • Perform interior and exterior patrols, responding to incidents and emergencies • Document, report, and investigate all security-related events • Enforce policies and procedures, including access control and site regulations • Conduct lock/unlock duties and monthly safety inspections • Work effectively independently and as part of a team • Perform additional duties as assigned Job Requirements: • Valid Ontario Security Guard License • Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C Certificate (from a WSIB-approved provider) • Ability to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check (during onboarding) • Valid G2 class license with reliable vehicle • Ability to be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test • Proof of COVID-19 Vaccine (minimum double vaccination) • Completed immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and TB) • How to get hired in Healthcare • • https://paladinsecurity.com//wp-content/uploads/2023/07/How-to-get-immunization-records-Paladin.pdf • I mmunization Record Form: Immunization-Record-Ontario-Paladin.pdf • 6+ months experience in healthcare or non-healthcare security preferred, 6+ months of customer service experience considered an asset • Commitment to a minimum 6 months of availability required • English fluency (oral & written) required • Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB) • • Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position • Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability • Authorized to legally work in Canada Certification Requirements (All) Valid Ontario Security License Valid Certification in First Aid, CPR and AED Valid G or G2 Drivers License Additional Information / Benefits Paladin Security: Making the World a Safer and Friendlier Place because we CARE !
