Job DescriptionJob Description PARALEGAL - CORPORATE Our client is currently seeking a Corporate Paralegal to support their busy Business Law practice group. This position offers the opportunity to work with a collaborative, high-performing, and team-oriented group of professionals. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a Canadian law firm, be adaptable, detail-oriented, highly motivated, and driven to succeed in a fast-paced environment supporting multiple lawyers. RESPONSIBILITIES: Assisting lawyers with the preparation of legal documents relating to all stages of complex corporate transactions Formation and governance matters relating to corporations (both business and societies), partnerships and joint ventures Conducting and reviewing public searches, including corporate searches, PPR registrations, tax and employment matters Preparing and filing documents for partnerships, limited partnerships, business names and extra-provincial registrations across Canada Preparing documents to change the registered and records office, effect name changes, change share capital, issue and transfer shares, appoint and remove directors and officers and other basic miscellaneous resolutions Preparing documents for BC societies and federal not-for-profit corporations. Attending to filings with the BC Registrar of Companies, Corporations Canada and other corporate registries Due diligence review of corporate records for asset/share purchase transactions. Assist in preparation of documents regarding deficiencies Responding to client inquiries and handle routine corporate tasks independently Assisting students, lawyers and other departments with various corporate matters MUST HAVES: Paralegal certificate from an accredited institution Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Paralegal within a Canadian law firm Experience as a corporate/commercial paralegal Exposure to eDiscovery processes and document-intensive litigation considered an asset Strong understanding of corporate filings, real estate transactions, or estate administration processes Advanced technical skills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and document management systems (e.g., NetDocs) Experience with tools such as BC Online, myLTSA, ALF, or eDiscovery platforms (e.g., Relativity) is an asset Excellent written and verbal communication skills Commitment to delivering high-quality service to clients and internal stakeholders Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team High level of initiative, adaptability, and resourcefulness Professional, positive, and can-do attitude Compensation + Benefits The salary ranges for these roles are $78,000 - $110,000 annually , depending on experience, skills, and qualifications. Additional compensation may include a performance-based bonus structure , with opportunities for both target-based and above-target bonuses.
