We are seeking a skilled and creative
Full-Time Painter/Carpenter Assistant
to join our Facilities team. This versatile role focuses heavily on carpentry and construction support, with additional painting and maintenance duties as required.

Duties & Responsibilities
Perform light to moderate carpentry work, including framing, finishing, drywall patching, and custom builds
Design, build, and assemble creative event elements such as backdrops, signage structures, booths, and décor pieces
Set up and dismantle staging, displays, props, and temporary installations for events and programs
Reconfigure rooms and spaces by moving furniture, staging décor, and installing temporary structures
Operate and maintain carpentry tools, equipment, and machinery safely and efficiently
Complete interior and exterior painting projects as assigned
Support the Special Projects Manager with facility improvements and day-to-day tasks
Assist with general maintenance and ensure work areas are safe, clean, and organized
Requirements & Qualifications
Previous experience in carpentry, painting, construction, or a related trade is preferred
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude
Ability to follow design sketches or verbal instructions and bring creative builds to life
Comfortable working with power tools, hand tools, and workshop equipment
Physically able to work at height, lift up to 50 lbs, and stand for extended periods
Willingness to perform a variety of maintenance and manual tasks
Comfortable using radio communication devices as part of daily operations.
Understanding of safety procedures and proper tool usage
Experience or interest in event production, staging, or set construction is a strong asset
