Job DescriptionJob Description Job Overview We are seeking skilled Painters to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience in residential and/or commercial painting projects and takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Painters will be responsible for preparing and finishing interior and exterior surfaces to a professional standard. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, scraping, sanding, caulking, and other preparation methods to ensure proper adhesion and finish. Perform drywall repairs including cutting, taping, mudding, sanding, and priming damaged areas. Apply paint, varnish, stain, epoxy, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment on residential and commercial projects. Install and remove vinyl wallcoverings and wallpaper as required. Perform touch-ups and repainting to restore and maintain existing finishes. Review project plans and instructions to understand specifications and requirements. Follow all site safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment at all times. Use ladders, lifts, and scaffolding in accordance with safety guidelines. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and report any issues as needed. Skills Experience with residential painting; commercial painting experience is an asset. Knowledge of surface preparation and finishing techniques. Familiarity with construction and renovation environments. Ability to read and interpret job instructions and project requirements. Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver consistent, high-quality work. Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with team members and clients. Commitment to following workplace health and safety procedures. Requirements Previous painting experience. Ability to distinguish colours accurately. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work. Comfortable working at heights and on ladders. Reliable transportation to and from job sites. Compensation Hourly rate based on experience and qualifications.
